This is a pretty amazing story. A device that uses electrical shocks to ensure a regular heartbeat was hacked to prove it was unsafe. Scientists were able to retrieve and change information in the defibrillator through the device’s wireless connection. Why would such a device have a wireless connection?! So that doctors could change data without surgery. You would think this would be something they would have though about…
This watch reminds me of when my English professor reminded the class that we will one day look much uglier and were in our “beauty prime” right now. I kind of wanna get it just for the time when some one asks me for the time. Imagine their face!
I wrote a post about contract law and apparently it caused a lot of controversy, mostly with people that know nothing about law. I sent my article to my professor, who is a licensed attorney, and she agreed that it was correct( except for the 70,000 requirement for Federal Court, it’s actually 75,000); therefore, I highly doubt there is anything wrong with my article besides the diversity requirement for the Federal Court. But I receive emails and comments telling me that I’m completely wrong.
I want my hit back.
When you look at your traffic log, please remove 1 hit from todays hits (March 24, 2008). I accidentally clicked on the link from the eBay thread on M3Post.com forum.
Oh, and I disagree!
Wow, you come across as a completely arrogant, abrasive douchebag on the m3 discussion.
Enjoy your nights alone, and crying yourself to sleep over fighting other people’s battles when you’re completely wrong.
What a great method to argue: First you criticize the writer, then you say the article is wrong but say nothing to support your argument. When you send me emails like that how do you want me to respond? Would you be happy if I just said “SORRY, I’m so wrong YOU WIN: Your email made me realize it” . Only thing I get when I receive these emails is a good laugh and material to write about.
This post is dedicated to the two people who send me those emails. Without ya’ll this post wouldn’t be here and I wouldn’t have realized how many brilliant people post on M3 forums. Makes me think about ever getting a BMW again.
Yesterday I looked at my traffic and something didn’t seem right. After some investigation I found that I was sending traffic to broken pages; it’s a very depressing situation when you pay for the traffic. Needless to say this is a great method to lose a lot of money.
My sites weren’t completely broken, but every other refresh would display “Server Not Found”. This took me a very long time to figure out: First I thought it was the A Records for the DNS, so I changed all my websites’ A Records. Few hours later I was encountering the same problem; that’s when I figured decided to check my nameserver that the site was hosted on. Apparently, it had expired last month and was on redemption period. That would explain why the server wasn’t found, but why was it still occasionally working? DNS records are really complicated and can be masked behind other DNS records; it’s like a map to your website and the map can have different routes to your website. The main routes to my website were expired, but there were other smaller routes; therefore, you could get to my website by taking other routes.
Twenty-six year old Jeff Libby spent $50,000 to create the table-top beer tap in his Atlanta sports bar. The system measures how much you take and charges by the ounce. So simple, but so brilliant! I think I will bring this to Houston/Austin.
