Students Fighting for Guns on Campus
Twelve states are considering allowing students to carry guns on campus for protection. Obviously this is due to Virginia Tech and other recent school shootings. This is the craziest thing I’ve heard in a long time! I would feel so unsafe walking around the UT campus knowing any one could be carrying a gun. If this was allowed (I do live in Texas) I would transfer some where else because this is so insanely unsafe. Thank you Students for Concealed Carry on Campus (SCCC)…idiots! If you have a Facebook account message Stephen Feltoon for proposing the worst idea in the history of college campuses.

No bother finding me on facebook, here I am! It’s too bad you said you’re from Texas. If you were from WA, PA, CA, VA, CO, IN, MI, KY, or a few other states that I can’t remember right now, I’d tell you to pack your bags. Why? Cause those states allow concealed carry on campus by law (in the sense that they don’t forbid it by law…and if they don’t forbid it, it’s legal) so I can take a trip down to Kentucky, do a jig in the middle of a college campus with a concealed firearm, and would be committing no crime. I feel so unsafe walking around campus without a firearm, so since this is a battle of who feels safe, who wins? I’d much rather you be uncomfortable but have me able to better defend myself than leave me relatively defenseless but have you feel warm and fuzzy inside. I’m surprised you don’t feel unsafe considering that criminals break laws and that a criminal intent on committing murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, and rape isn’t going to care about the (most likely) lesser crime of illegally bringing a concealed firearm (which, in all honesty, they’re probably concealing illegally too) on campus.

You think this group is idiotic? What about the college administrators and law makers who think that a sign that says “no guns allowed” keeps criminals from bringing guns on campus (since law-abiding license holders will abide by the law)?
It’s idiotic because people overreact. Imagine you get in a fight with some one at school (there are plenty of those) and they pull out a gun because they have a hot temper. This can happen any where and you shouldn’t be allowed to carry some thing so dangerous around. this makes it so much easier for people that want to shoot up schools to do it. What about all those schools with metal detectors at their front doors? They’re obviously there for a reason and if this is allowed they’ll have to take them down. Thank god most people have 100x more common sense than you and won’t allow this to happen.

I would feel so unsafe walking around the UT campus knowing any one could be carrying a gun”. news flash big boy, anyone could be carrying a gun. let me tell you exactly who’s not, the responsible, licensed, law abiding citizen who is following idiotic laws that prevent him/her from defending life and limb. we ( individuals with concealed pistol licenses) have proven to be the law abiding responsible ones. we stop murders, rapes and assaults, the knowledge that someone could be carrying a gun legally makes the CRIMINALS feel unsafe. let me put it this way, right now schools might as well be hanging this sign out front,

you have a right to your opinion, however you have a responsibility to base it on fact. get the facts at http://www.concealedcampus.com. p.s. feelings are not facts. perhaps you should go sign up for a BASIC logic course at your school (oh wait anyone who wants could be carrying a gun, except those who could stop a madman)
Anyone who goes through the concealed carry classes (which in Kentucky is 2 days). Well you see that they are what we call legal law abiding people. To my knowledge all the shootings have been done by people who did not care about having a concealed carry permit which is Illegal. Get it Legal / Illegal. People who do not care enough to protect others from harm or to even protect themselves from harm are simply SHEEP. Hope I can use these wimps who want everyone to be like them as sheep for a shield if the shooting ever starts around me. it seems like a fair trade to me to use them to protect my life.They took my right to legally bear arms in a law abiding manor to protect myself and others where all these punks choose colleges to do their killing. Ever as yourself why do the freaks choose colleges to go and shoot people??? If you dont know the answer then college will never help you in life.
