Sprint SERO Plan is Amazing
I just paid my Sprint cell phone bill and had to share this with the people who don’t already know. Sprint currently has their employee plans open to the public.

You just need an employee’s email (leave a message if you’re having trouble finding one), which you can find pretty easy on Google, and you’re set. By the way, if you’re currently a Sprint customer you can change your plan without charge to SERO because Sprint changed a policy starting this year. All SERO plans come with unlimited texts, night and weekends at 7 PM, unlimited weekends, unlimited data (great for people with PDAs or smart phones), unlimited picture mail, and great Sprint service! 500 minutes is $30, 1250 is $50, and 2500 is $100. However, it is very easy to get added perks when you call Sprint and tell them you want to cancel. My roommate, “Ultrayeah,” has 700 minutes with 6 PM nights for $30 and I have 600 minutes with 6 PM nights for $30. I strongly recommend you get the SERO plan if possible, and please leave a comment if you need any more information.

This is crazy. I currently pay 59.99+ for 550 minutes and nothing else… (family plan). Any suggestions for getting around this already being with sprint, though at the end of contract. SERO would be great!
ya you can tell them that you dont agree with the new contract starting 2008 and they’ll let you switch.
You want to get out of the contract? or once you get out switch to sero?
Contract is over as of now. Would like to keep numbers though.
there is an option on the checkout to keep the same numbers. You should be able to get sero with no problem.
I have the 49.99 1250 minutes plan, all I can say wow
sprint is da bomb

Hi,
So, just to make sure, is it possible to port your existing number over to new Sero account? The Sprint site says that a new account must be made. I don’t quite know if that entails getting a new number as well. Also, how can I get around Sprint security measure of asking for a legitimate employee email? I have read that they email the employee to ask for verification of relation.
Thanks alot!
Yeah, there is a step in there that asks if you want to port your number. My mom and dad both did it online no problem.
They don’t email the employee to ask for verification lol; that would require them to do work. Like I said both my parents did it no problem.:)

Hey everyone, I was wondering if I could PLEASE get a kind Sprint employee’s e-mail address. The savings@sprintemi.com did not work for me. I would truly appreciate it. Also, I have 3 movie passes and $50 that I would be willing to mail to the person whose email address successfully gets my dad and I a SERO plan. Thank you all!!

I was wondering if anyone had an email address I could use to get Sero for the Chicago area, thanks!
FYI- this is the message I get when trying to switch with an e-mail account of amployee- It let’s me in the Referral program, but when I enter my EXISTING SPRINT Phone Number, I get this:
Select Line to Upgrade
The following errors were found while processing your requestWe’re sorry, but the number you entered does not match any found in the Sprint Exclusive Referral Offer (SERO) program. If your phone is not part of the SERO program, try upgrading your phone by closing your browser, then reopening it and going to http://www.sprint.com. If you are part of the SERO program, try entering your number again.
call sprint. their website is so screwed up and you will be on hold forever, but eventually youll get through and they can help you out.
Is there a chance that the program will go away, not be as good, or made unavailable to the public sometimes soon. Cuz I really want to wait for the HTC Diamond to come out and then switch. But this plan is awesome!!!
i dont think so. it has been going on for a while with no sign of stopping. i have the mogul right now and really want the diamond too! only bad thing is i heard it can get sluggish.
Ya I heard that too, think they’ll fix that WHEN it comes out here? I hope they announce it soon since it’s cleared FCC already. I’m still trying to decide btw the Diamond & Iphone, and the rumored Blackberry thunder looks pretty good too. But it might just come down to the SERO pricing in the end. Any idea on when the Diamond is coming and how much it might cost? I hope it works as intuitively as the iphone!
diamond should be within the next couple months and its gonna sell for around 700 unlocked. i think i would go with the Thunder though. that phone looks so clean and Blackberry is always dependable. however, the SERO plan is tough to give up! you could try the instinct, its gotten good reviews, but its still nothing like the Diamond.
I haven’t been on the Sero website yet. But I was wondering if the SERO plans support BlackBerry phones or not. My contract with Tmobile is about the end soon and I would like to continue using a BlackBerry phone still. Also, could I get a recommendation for a smartphone besides the BB, please?
I really appreciate the help!
Thanks,
Aly
Ya I’ll prob wait for the Diamond. Hope sprint will have a decent discount for it. I hear the Thunder is running way behind production schedule though. So you can’t activate a SERO plan in stores right? Online only?
im guessing the diamond will go around 350 with a 2 year contract, although they may lower it to compete with the iphone’s new prices. im not sure if you can activate it in store, but i would try online and if that doesnt work call sprint customer service and make sure you tell them that you want to keep your number. if the person says you cant or you have any trouble call back, some reps are easier than others. also, once youve got the plan you can call back and tell them yo uwanna cancel, and they will usually add something on to your plan. just dont do it too much or they will cancel your contract and chrge you.
Aly,
it depends what Blackberry phone you have. if you are with tmobile it probably has a SIM card and that wont work with Sprint since they dont use SIM cards. you would most likely have to get a new Blackberry without a SIM card.
you should look at these phones:

http://www.nseries.com/products/n95/#l=products,n95

Even $350 sounds good compared to iphone’s extra monthly cost. But did you hear that they’re selling the Diamond for $99 in Taiwan with their data plan!? Hope that makes it over here.
So when U say call back to try and get more perks, should I do that after the initial 30 days or after? I am also kinda worried that they might change the SERO plan to be less awesome by the time the Diamond comes out in Sep. So I’m thinking of signing up right now to make sure I have the plan. Do you know if it’s possible to unlock a verizon phone for sprint usage? Thanks for all the info and advice!!!
wow i had no idea is was selling that cheap. if it is HTC is trying real hard to get their name out. i called back the day after i got it. but the way to do it is to call about some problem or some question about your phone or plan or anything and then ask about a perk because they see a list of what you have called for. so having something in between makes it look less suspicious. just dont try too hard, you could even email customer care if you want, that works too. a good way is to tell them you are deciding between ___ and sprint right now and ___ gives you 700 minutes while sprint is only giving 500 minutes and you want 200 extra if they want to keep your business. i dont know how hard it is to unlock a verizon phone for sprint, but i wouldnt try it.it doesnt seem like the sero plan is gonna end any time soon so i would just wait.
So apparently Sero now requires you to enter their website with an employee email address and a CID now, I don’t suppose anyone has one of those floating around?
Is anyone willing to refer me on a sero plan??
