If ya’ll have seen Fight Club the movie, it’s just like what it sounds; guys that meet to fight each other. Silicon Valley has their own Fight Club, and the people in it are not who you would assume to be fighters. They are corporate workers that all have mundane 9 to 5 desk jobs. For them, fighting each other-on a weekly basis- is their escape from their mediocre lives.

I thought this was a joke at first; I was expecting some type of parody. But the video has a lot of violence. The Silicon Valley Fight Club does not fool around! From keyboards to toilet seats, they use random objects to beat each other!

If you watch this video, you’ll really see the animosity these guys use when fighting; it must be from their jobs. I never knew working sucked so bad.

The Aura Borealis is one of the best reasons to visit Alaska or Russia; it only happens near the polar regions. The Auroras are made from collisions of electrons and protons- charged particles from the Earth’s magnetosphere. This phenomenon is the closest thing to real magic on Earth. Look how amazing the aurora glows, doesn’t it seem like Earth’s spirit coming out?

I definitely have to see the Northern Lights one day. Beautiful things like this make me feel fortunate to have eyes. I bet they look 10X better in real life than in picture.

The Story of Ricky is one of the most entertaining movies I’ve seen in a long time. It is about a man with super strength, Ricky, that is sent to prison: His girlfriend got killed, so he avenged her death. The prison that Ricky is sent to is run like a business; the warden uses the prisoners as slaves and kills them without any hesitation. There are Four gangs in the prison and each of them have their own boss. When Ricky notices how corrupt the prison is, he uses his two fists to clean it up.

My synopsis is basically the whole storyline. I would rate the story 6/10, because a lot of things didn’t make sense; however, it doesn’t matter, because Story of Ricky is all about extreme violence and cheesy effects. This movie was made in 1991, so there was limited special effects; as a result, the action scenes seem unrealistic. Whenever Ricky fights, his fists usually rip through the opponent’s body and just tears them up. The man once called the “Baddest man on the planet” is now working his was to the “Fattest man on the planet.” The youngest heavyweight champ ever who once knocked out 12 out of 19 men in the first round is now knocking out plate after plate at Mr. Chow’s. The man who was once known for biting off ears is now know for biting off juicy chunks of chicken.

OK, that’s enough of that, but this is truly one of the sad stories of the last 20 years. Mike Tyson used to be the most feared boxer on the planet, but after being jailed for rape for 3 years in 1992 he never really recovered. He had reportedly blown a fortune of over $300 million after filing for bankruptcy in 2003.

It was rumored that Tyson was on an intense detox diet, planning on returning to the ring against Evander Holyfield for the first time in 10 years. It has also been rumored that he will become a cage fighter after his experience reffing one. Now both look far from reach, and who knows where he’ll be in the next 5 years.

Too bad most of them look like men.

This is definitely one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. Plus I love the Discovery Channel!

If you are thinking of going to China for the Olympics, you might not want to fly the Chinese airlines.

A pilot for a Chinese carrier requested permission and landed at FRA (Frankfurt, Germany) for an unscheduled refueling stop. The reason became soon apparent to the ground crew: The Number 3 engine had been shutdown previously because of excessive vibration, and because it didn’t look too good. It had apparently been no problem for the tough guys back in China: as they took some sturdy straps and wrapped them around two of the fan blades and the structures behind, thus stopping any unwanted wind-milling (engine spinning by itself due to airflow passing thru the blades during flight) and associated uncomfortable vibration caused by the suboptimal fan.

Note that the straps areseat-belts…how resourceful! After making the “repairs”, off they went into the wild blue yonder with another revenue-making flight on only three engines! With the increased fuel consumption, they got a bit low on fuel, and just set it down at the closest airport (FRA) for a quick refill.

That’s when the problems started: The Germans, who are kind of picky about this stuff, inspected the malfunctioning engine and immediately grounded the aircraft….

Jerome Kerviel the former Societe General rouge trader who accrued nearly €5 billion, or $7.7 billion has been released from jail after just over one month. He is still under investigation and surely will be going back to jail for a long time, but he will probably be bringing some friends with him.

So far the prosecution believes Kerviel worked alone, but many think this is impossible due to significance of the fraud. They say he began creating fictitious trades in 2006 and early 2007 that were relatively small, but got a little power hungry and the trades increased drastically. He eventually made illegal trades totaling $63.5 billion!

Some have described him as a computer genius while others have said he was nothing special. He was a smart guy though. He had a salary of about $90,000 in 2006 and earned a bonus $76,000 and in 2007 he was expected to get bonuses of at least $381,000.

To cover up his early gains Kerviel created fictitious trades that actually showed losses to cover up the massive gains. Obviously this is bad for the company because it is illegal, but many traders say their bosses will look the other way…

#1. All their cards have all the rewards and benefits that Visa and Mastercard provide, whether it’s 1% cash back or airplane mileage.

#2. If you buy something, below $300, and the merchant refuses to refund your money, Amex will pay you for it; however, you can only redeem up to $1000 a year doing this.

#3. If you buy something with a warranty Amex will match that warranty, up to a one full year.

#4. Most cards have travel insurance. In case you get sick or die, while traveling, Amex will  pay the covered person up to 1.5 million for their loss. It depends on what type of card you have. In case of “loss of  one hand and one foot” the coverage is between 50,000 to 1,500,000.

#5. When you rent a car with a qualifying Amex card, you’ll be covered under their Car Retnal Loss and Damage Insurance Plan. So you don’t need to buy insurance from the car renter!

#6. Don’t be scared to lose your bags when you travel, because Amex has Baggage Insurance. Eligible members are allowed to claim $500 for checked bags, and $1250 for carry-on baggage.

It used to be that the grey squirrel was the king of the London parks, scaring red squirrels into going after the nuts the grey squirrel didn’t care for. Now a mutated black squirel has appeared and is changing the rules. The new black squirrel has more testosterone, making it faster, stronger, and more aggressive. In some places the black squirrel now makes up 50% of the squirrel population and is threatening the extinction of the red squirrel. Female squirrels prefer the black squirrels sexually (once you go black you don’t go back…to red…squirrels) and they are expected to eventually take over much of the squirrel population of Europe. Looks like red squirrels are getting screwed by the long (black) dick of evolution.
