Movie Review - CloverField

Published by UltraYeah under movies

If you like the movie Godzilla and Blairwitch project, you will love this. Cloverfield is about a monster that attacks New York City and completely destroys it. The style of this movie is like a documentary; one of the characters filming with a home video camera, so it’s very first person. Because the frames are really shakey, Cloverfield seems like a roller coaster ride: If you can’t focus on multiple objects, then you might get sick.

The best thing about Cloverfield, is the computer generated background. The city is really well done, and the action scenes are really realistic; however, there wasn’t enough action. More than half of the movie involves the main characters running around New York. This movie was far from being anywhere close to scary, and there was only a handful of scenes that had some suspense.

The storyline of this movie went by too fast. I wanted to see more of the monster and why it was there. Cloverfield leaves many questions unanswered, but theres always room for Cloverfield 2. Overall, this movie was unique because of the way it was filmed, but didn’t…

Free Credit Score from CreditKarma

Published by UltraYeah under Finance

CreditKarma is giving away free credit scores. Usually websites give you free credit reports, but they don’t tell you the actual credit number but CreditKarma will! This service is free to use and allows you see your score change daily. The reason the site is free is because they make their money off advertisements and affiliate offers.

So why are credit scores important? Credit scores are used to rate how reliable you are in paying loans back. The number way to raise this score is use a credit card and pay it back monthly. I got my first credit card when I turned 18 and now I have a fairly high score. I purchase everything with my credit card and pay it back on time. Another way to get your credit score up is to take out a loan and pay it back on time. I took out a secured loan, basically paying for a loan, and now every month when I pay it back my credit score rises. If you ever plan on getting a loan or applying for a credit card, the higher your credit score the more…

McDonald’s Employees

Published by NO under Rant

If I ever happen to wake up early I go to McDonald’s for quick breakfast. The same guy is at the drive-thru every time and is rude as hell. He asks “What do you want?,” doesn’t tell you to go to the 2nd window, and when he hands you your drink he says “Here!.” But I never get mad because I would be rude as hell too. I would be so mad if a McDonald’s manager, not exactly the greatest of managers, forced me to work the 6 AM shift every day. I would hate on every person that comes through and hope that idiot manager fires me so I have an excuse to search for a better job.

By the way, Rick Ross quote of the day from MTV Cribs: “Sometimes I come through and put my ice on…because I hate global warming.”

Paul Wall stars in worst movie ever made

Published by UltraYeah under Entertainment

Looks like another rapper has given up music for acting. Paul Wall recently made an appearance in Furnace, a horror film about people dying around a prison. If you like Paul Wall, you might want to check it out, but don’t get your hopes up: it received a ridiculously low 3.6/10 rating. Take a look at the trailor and you’ll see why. It definitely looks like one of those “so bad it makes it funny as hell” movies.

Kung Fu Dunk

Published by UltraYeah under movies

I can’t believe how bad this movie was. I saw Jay Chou’s The Secret and expected this movie to be decent. How can you mess up Kung Fu mixed with basketball? Apparently, Asian people know how. This movie had irrelevant scenes and tried to include everything into one: It had action, romance, and comedy. Kung Fu Dunk tried too hard to give the audience every genre in one. But in the end all I got sadness, for wasting my time to watching this movie.

The computer graphics in this movie are ridiculously cheesy; it screams low budget. Jay Chou was flying in the air, and it seemed he was getting held up by ropes. Additionally, the tallest person they had in that movie was like 5′9″. Ok, basketball players in Asia are almost ALL over 6′3″. It doesn’t matter what you play; you have to be that tall-to compensate for skill. Jay Chou is 5′8″, sorry bro, you must be over 6′ to ride.

I shouldn’t be surprised at Kung Fu Dunk’s failure, because generally Asian movies aren’t as good as American ones. I really regret not checking…

Make Money by Searching!

Published by UltraYeah under Make Money

There is search engine called ChaCha that pays people to help others,
by searching for information! You can become a guide and make up 10 dollars an hour. A guide will receive queries for questions like “How far is the earth away from the moon”, and they have to find the answer. It’s a really easy and flexible job, perfect for a college student.

The cool thing about this service is people can text questions and the guides find them. Text any question to 242242 and try it out! The service is absolutely free and they don’t spam you.

Check it out here.

My Sweet 16.

Published by UltraYeah under TV

If you guys have ever seen My Sweet 16 on MTV, then you realize that some people are way to spoiled. This show is about 15 year old kids turning 16 and throwing outrageous birthday parties; most of the parties cost over $100,000. It gets me thinking, how do people afford to do this? They have a new show every week and it always gets crazier: Little kids getting new Mercedes as their first car. Really, how do their parents afford that kind of stuff?

I wonder if MTV actually pays for part of the party, or maybe not. Anyways, it’s really ridiculous that there are so many rich people out there that can do these kinds of things. A new episode every week = 52 episodes a year! The average business undergrad makes 50k a year and MBA 100k. If you want to be able to throw a ridiculous party for your kid, you better be a doctor or own your own business.
