911: The Bronx

Published by NO at 12:24 am under TV

I just saw this show tonight on the Discovery Channel and have been watching for about an hour. It’s based in the ER of a hospital in the Bronx, New York. It is basically constantly full and they only show you the most serious injuries.

So far I’ve seen a guy die of a heart attach, be brought back to life, and try to fight the doctors. A man bite his wife’s ear off, break her arm with a bat, and jump 5 stories and survive, but get really messed up. A kid break his ankle to the point that the foot is facing the wrong way, and the doctors point it back the other way.

If you love action, drama, and have a strong stomach this is a great show.

i believe the show was really interesting and real. I used to work there and for all the fractures that went on in the night shift they do not call ortho but the podiatry residents. They are forced to do ortho in the night time and they hate it. Its a shame that st barnabas hospital is not willing to spend some bucks in the ortho department when they need them so much, especially in the bronx, which is a place fullof violence and the most things that u will see are broken bones.

I thought the show was great! Being that I lived in the Bronx as a baby it was interesting to see, Besides to my surprise I saw Dr. Raul Garcia on the show , which I went to Middle & High school with down here in Miami, that was pretty cool! Hope the keep the show on the rotation.
