Tiger Woods Slows the Stock Market

If you haven’t heard about the greatest U.S. Open in history this weekend then get the hell off the site. For everyone else, wasn’t it amazing? Tiger came back from 2 months without playing competetive golf and fought through a hurt knee (which may now need microfracture surgery, possibly ruining his career) to beat unknown Rocco Mediate in sudden death.
The stock market has averaged 781.5 million shares traded for the last 30 months, and dropped yesterday an astounding 9% to 709.9 million. He may be the only person on Earth that could drop the market that low, which is why sports are amazing. ![]()
