If you didn’t think he was a pimp before you will after watching this video. He makes a great catch, jumps into the stands, high fives a fan, and throws a guy out at first.

Dikembe Mutumbo Returns to the Rockets!

Published by NO under Sports

Dikembe Mutombo will continue to hold the ‘oldest player in the NBA’ title into 2009. He is the biggest fan favorite in Houston and everyone loves him around the league. The Rockets wanted him back for his defense, his leadership, and his services in case Yao Ming is injured for a 3rd year in a row.

“I’m going to consider to keep playing basketball. The next part will be to tell my lawyer, David Falk. My body and my mind is responding to the thrill of the game. The coaches and the fans and everyone are in there. I talked to my wife and kids a lot this week, especially my children. (They) want me to play one more year.”

Dikembe is also know for raising over $30 million for a modern hospital in his hometown Kinshasa in the Republic of Congo and was recognized by George Bush in last year’s State of the Union Address. The “Cookie Monster” returns!

Silicon Valley Fight Club

Published by UltraYeah under Sports

If ya’ll have seen Fight Club the movie, it’s just like what it sounds; guys that meet to fight each other. Silicon Valley has their own Fight Club, and the people in it are not who you would assume to be fighters. They are corporate workers that all have mundane 9 to 5 desk jobs. For them, fighting each other-on a weekly basis- is their escape from their mediocre lives.

I thought this was a joke at first; I was expecting some type of parody. But the video has a lot of violence. The Silicon Valley Fight Club does not fool around! From keyboards to toilet seats, they use random objects to beat each other!

If you watch this video, you’ll really see the animosity these guys use when fighting; it must be from their jobs. I never knew working sucked so bad.

Yeah.

Mike Tyson is Fat!

Published by NO under Celebrities, Sports

The man once called the “Baddest man on the planet” is now working his was to the “Fattest man on the planet.” The youngest heavyweight champ ever who once knocked out 12 out of 19 men in the first round is now knocking out plate after plate at Mr. Chow’s. The man who was once known for biting off ears is now know for biting off juicy chunks of chicken.

OK, that’s enough of that, but this is truly one of the sad stories of the last 20 years. Mike Tyson used to be the most feared boxer on the planet, but after being jailed for rape for 3 years in 1992 he never really recovered. He had reportedly blown a fortune of over $300 million after filing for bankruptcy in 2003.

It was rumored that Tyson was on an intense detox diet, planning on returning to the ring against Evander Holyfield for the first time in 10 years. It has also been rumored that he will become a cage fighter after his experience reffing one. Now both look far from reach, and who knows where he’ll be in the next 5 years.

Professional Warcraft Players to Carry the Olympic Torch

Published by NO under Sports

It looks as though China is doing anything to raise money and exposure for the Beijing Olympics this summer. Through a sponsorship with Razer XiaoFeng “Sky” Li and Jae ho “Moon” Jang will both bear the torch as it passes through China en route to the Beijing National Stadium. I know there must be more honorable people in China than these two guys, and to put a tradition that dates back to 776 BC through such embarrassment is a disgrace. I can not see what the two Warcraft pros have done for the country of China and this should definitely not be allowed. I have nothing against these Olympics and think it could be the greatest ever, but this is ludicrous!

Houston Rockets Tribute to Hakeem Olajuwon

I went to the Houston Rockets vs. Phoenix Suns game last night and they had a great tribute for Olajuwon. They revealed a monument and unveiled his jersey number in the rafters with the Hall of Fame label.

Tony Durant - Unluckiest Person on Earth

Published by NO under Sports

Think it sucks to be you? Imagine being the older brother of a basketball phenom. Imagine having $0 in the bank while your little brother has about $60 million…at years old. Imagine being 2 inches shorter and struggling to play basketball at a no name college. Kevin Durant is everything his brother couldn’t be: taller, more athletic, a better shooter, a better ball handler…pretty much anything.

There is one good thing though. He’s the brother of Kevin Durant! They look alike so I’m sure he gets plenty of ladies. He also got a brand new Dodge Charger from his little brother.
