He fell in love with her and once she died he decided he wanted her to go on living. Tanzler removed the body from the cemetery and began sleeping with it. He put the bones together with wire and coat hangers, gave it glass eyes, replaced its decomposing skin with silk covered in wax, made a wig, and dressed it.
