The internet is a place where anybody can be whoever they want; it’s where dreams are fulfilled and fortunes made. But on the internet, it’s so easy to lie and be somebody else: You’re just one keystroke away from being a billionaire, and one copy and paste away from being a model. Never could afford a Ferrari? Don’t worry, just pretend on the internet you own one. On here, that’s almost as good as the real thing. The fact is, you can’t really trust what a lot of people say online: There are more liars than honest people, because lying is a whole lot easier. For instance, I outsourced data entry work to a guy from the Philippines. He said he used all the money to fix his village orphans’ homes, so I was more sympathetic toward him and gave him more money. Well apparently, he outsourced the work I gave to him to another person, who was a big asshole. That person ruined my creditability’s by putting profanity and nonsense into the data. When I confronted the person, I originally gave the work too, he…
